Eliza M. Perez is a cultural arts worker based in San Antonio, TX. They have a background in cultural arts programming, social media management, and digital and print design. They have worked in this field for 5+ years after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in creative writing focused on poetry. In addition, they have experience curating multimedia art exhibits focused on BIPOC, femme, and queer-centered experiences.
Eliza enjoys astrology, creating social media content for their baking business, and advocating for a better world by supporting local mutual aid groups and social justice organizations.
Eliza is the child of Mexican immigrants and was born and raised in El Valle del Río Grande. They are a Fronteriza, a bilingual borderland native used to code-switching and navigating the world as someone ni de aquí ni de allá.
They are interested in creating community connections to dream of and work toward a kinder world through the use of storytelling, social media, art, and food. They currently work in a library and spend their free time developing their micro cottage bakery, Frontera Pastelera, which focuses on plant-based Mexican pan dulce and pastries.
